Cathy Ocharzak First Home Mortgage
Step 1 to homeownership… just like the home you want to buy the foundation is very important. In obtaining a mortgage – your credit is the foundation. It is the first place the lender will start. Know your credit , know your mortgage scores( consumer scores are often much higher). Many loan programs require a 640 or even 660 middle credit score ( typically have 3 scores- 1 from each bureau-drop the high and low score). There often simple adjustments and changes that may increase your score. However, the changes take time to happen and time to rescore. Make sure you are credit ready before finding that perfect home as you will need a pre approval letter to accompany your contract offer. Get qualified in advance of home shopping. Don’t miss out on your dream home . If you would like to learn more about credit or how you can be qualified – give me a call – 301 -491-1187.
